BRACEは、シンプルで直線的な構造が印象的な組み立て式家具のシリーズです。

　建彦木工は素材と向き合い、長年受け継がれてきた技術と日本の伝統的建築技法を用いて、シンプルな佇まいの美しいデザインに応え、
軽やかで新しい時代の家具へと昇華させました。

シンプルで直線的な構造に、斜めのブレースが視覚にも印象を与え、その使い心地は、使う側の想像力を掻き立てます。
天板のトレーは取り外すことができ、軽く、容易に持ち運びができます。
接合部は、スチールを使い、日本の建築技法である「仕口」をモチーフに組まれていることで細身ながら強度を保ちます。
シンプルな構造のためパーツの取り替えができ、末永くお使いいただけます。

建彦木工の拠点がある栃木県は、ヒノキの生育にとって積雪量が少なく、適度な気温と降雨量により育まれた豊な土壌があります。
そのため、栃木のヒノキは良質で目が細かく、強度があるといわれています。
"限りある資源を丁寧に使いたい"そんな建彦木工の思いから。BRACEは細い、短いなどの理由から規格外とされ、チップ材などになってしまう材を使っています。

私達の使命は、森と使う人の間で木の命の橋渡しをしていくこと。そのためにも健やかな地球環境をつくることは大切です。
地域材をつかうこと、フラットパック化を実現したことで、輸送の際に使われるエネルギーを最小限にいたしました。

そして、木の命を尊びながら組み立て過程を楽しんでいただき、長く愛される家具になることを願っています。

BRACE is an assembled piece of furniture with an impressive simple and linear structure.

　Tatehiko has faced the materials and responded with a beautiful design with a simple appearance, using techniques handed down over the years and traditional Japanese construction techniques,
We have sublimated it into a light and new age furniture.

The simple, linear structure with diagonal braces creates a visual impression, and the comfort of using the piece captures the imagination of the user.
The tray on the top panel can be removed, making it light and easy to carry.
The joints are made of steel and assembled in the motif of a Japanese architectural technique called "shiguchi," which maintains strength in spite of its slimness.
The simple structure allows for replacement of parts, ensuring long use.

Tochigi Prefecture, where Tatehiko is located, has a low snowfall, moderate temperatures, and abundant rainfall for the growth of cypress trees.
The soil is fertile and nurtured by moderate temperatures and rainfall. Because of this, Tochigi's cypress is said to be of high quality, fine-grained, and strong.
Brace is made from wood that is considered out of standard because of its thinness or shortness, and is used for wood that would otherwise be turned into chips or other materials,
We use wood that would otherwise be turned into chips, etc. because it is too thin or too short.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between the forest and the people who use it. For this purpose, it is important to create a healthy global environment.
By using local timber and flat-packing, we have minimized the energy used in transportation.

We hope that our furniture will be loved for a long time, and that people will enjoy the process of assembling it while respecting the life of the wood.
